I’m looking to swap the small barbed trebles on my small spinners ( weight range 5 or 6 grams - up to 12 or 13 grams ) for wide gape InLine barbless singles, fishing for stocked Rainbow Trout (2-3lb) enabling me to release unwanted Coarse fish with the minimum of trauma that is inevitably caused unhooking the from a barbed treble. What size of a barbless wide gape inline hook should I be ordering? Thanks.
Hi Gurth,
I'm currently swapping out the trebles on all my smaller lures for the same reason. The general advice is to go for one size up from the treble your replacing to keep the balance of the lure.
