Q

Daiwa Super Kenzaki Boat Rods 12/20 does it come in a case ? What the best size reel for the rod and whet reel

By Stu Roodhouse - Filey - 13th Oct 2025
A

Hi Stu, hope this finds you well? This rod comes in a cloth bag and most boat reels will be fine on this rod. I have linked our boat reels HERE for you to browse, I would look towards a minimum of a 7000/25/300 size depending on the brand. Hope this helps. Regards, Tackleuk

Super kenzaki 12-20lbs fixed spool. Do you know what the casting ratios are on these rods. Thanks

By David Davids - North east - 5th May 2025
A

Hi David,

Not sure what you mean by 'casting ratio' but these like most boat rods carry a classification in lb's.

Q

Hello...I was looking at the 6-12 Kenzaki but I like a longer rod, so the 6-15 sounds more suited to what I want. question is...is the 6-15 the same as the 6-12 but just a foot longer ?

By DAVID JONES - TRURO - 9th Mar 2023
A
Hi David, They are very similar, the 6-15lb is slightly heavier at 290g and has a slightly larger casting weight, other than this the rods should be pretty much the same. Kind regards Tackleuk

Q

Hi, I plan to troll for pike using Savage Gear lures up to 300g and on planning boards, would the Daiwa Super Kenzaki 12-20lb range be ok, or would the 20 - 30lb be more suitable? Regards Simon

By Simon Edwin Webber - Dalmally - 4th Jul 2022
A
Hi Simon, I would probably go for the 20-30lb, its difficult to judge but it sounds like the rod is going to be constantly under pressure. Regards TackleUK
