Is the 5000-c a carp reel

Hi Stephen,
They can be used for carp, but you wont get the same casting performance and line capacity as a dedicated big pit reel. Would make a good pairing with shorter 9, or 10ft retractable rods where your not going to miss the distance.

Thanks they are 1.75t/c however I have read that these 5000’s are closer to a 4000 size. Do you know when the 5000 will be back in stock?

Hi will these reel suit Trent barbel fishing with my new Harrison chimera 2 rods? Want a nice balanced set up Cheers in advance

Hi Stephen,
If you've got the 12ft 1.75lb barbel rod then I would be looking for something around a 4000 size, and that reel only comes in the 3000 & 5000 options. If the rod you have has a heavier test curve than that (I'm not overly familiar with Harrison rods) say 2lb plus then a 5000 would be a good choice.'

We only sell the reel in 3000 and a 5000 size, these don't come with a spare spool, and we don't sell a spare spool, Sorry.
