Drennan Specialist Barbel Rods offer superb balance and playing action for specialist Barbel anglers. Featuring 12ft two-piece blanks manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre, fitted out with quality Fuji SiC guides and a secure 18mm DPS real seat. They're available in four test curve options. The 1.50-2.00lb models are great for general use and handling feeders of up to 4oz, and the stepped-up 2.25lb edition is ideal for bigger rivers and faster flows, handling weights of up to 6oz.

Hi Shane, thanks for the question. I would recommend a baitrunner/freespool reel in a 6000-10000 size. This will compliment the rod nicely. Shimano Baitrunner DL’s are excellent, I have linked them HERE for you to view. Hope this helps. Regards, Tackleuk
