Finished in an eye-catching matt black anodised coating with subtle laser-printed script on the back plate, the reel exudes class and quality while complementing any rod blank. All JW Young reels are proudly made and built in the UK and are supplied in a presentation box complete with a reel pouch and certificate of authenticity.
Formerly known as the John Wilson Heritage Reel, this model was personally endorsed by one of the UK’s greatest anglers, John Wilson. It has since been renamed to honour the founding JW Young & Son family. Drawing on engineering principles first pioneered by James Young in 1884, the Heritage Reel delivers exceptional build quality and performance. Similar in design to the Purist II, it stands apart with its distinctive matt black finish and refined detailing.
